King Charles III Coronation Celebrations!
Today Year 2 came into school dressed in red, white and blue to celebrate King Charles coronation. We had lots of fun making bunting, carriages and flags to decorate the school and enjoyed a picnic lunch with our friends. Year 2 were very proud to be chosen to tell the story of King Charles III's life to the rest of the school in our assembly this afternoon.
World Book Week
As part of World Book Week Year 2 visited Leam Lane Library to listen to a story read by Susan. The story was all about a robot who made lots of noises and we all enjoyed joining in with the noises and some of us even had the chance to play some instruments.
Year 2 Visit to Northumberland College Zoo
As part of our science topic 'Animals including humans' Year 2 visited Northumberland College Zoo. We had a fantastic day finding out about all of the animals. We saw wallabies, meerkats, porcupine, lemurs, alpaca, monkeys, lots of birds, fish and we even touched some of the reptiles.
Visit from Mrs West and baby Ocean
As part of our science topic 'Animals including humans' we had a visit from Mrs West and baby Ocean today. Mrs West told us all about how baby Ocean has developed and how she has changed since she was born. We watched Mrs West give Ocean a bath, feed her some broccoli and banana and have some milk. Ocean was so well behaved and loved all of the attention.
