This week in school is STEM week and each class is focusing on the theme of ‘Growth’. We have been focussing on water and have looked at how many people around the world do not have easy access to clean water. We created our own water filter to try to filter dirty water into clean water. We used a range of materials including soft and coarse sand, pebbles and cheese cloth, to see if these materials could be used to create clean water from dirty water. We had some amazing results although our water filters weren’t quite good enough to ensure we had water that was clean enough to drink!
