Henry ‘Box’ Brown - Feb 3, 2022
As part of our Literacy unit, to help us understand the feelings and emotions of Henry Brown, we stepped into his shoes… or should we say box! Henry was so desperate for freedom he was willing to put his life on the line by attempting to post himself to freedom. Whilst finding out about this unbelievable journey taken by Henry, we explored the various positive and negative emotions he would have felt. To support us in this we were given the opportunity to step inside a box, roughly the size Henry used. It was clear to see Henry was one very brave and desperate man to go to such lengths to finally have the life, he longed for and deserved.
