Today we carried out two experiments to proves gases are real even when we cannot see them.
First we tried to squash a bottle with the lid tightly on. We couldn’t squash the bottle even though it appeared to be empty. We concluded that the bottles were not actually empty, but full of gas particles. We then tried to squash the same bottle but with the lid off. This time we could squash them. We were able to squash them as the gas particles were able to leave the bottle and move into the room.
