Art Week - Apr 29, 2021
As part of the National Gallery’s ‘Take One Picture’ project, the children have had a great time exploring art and developing their drawing skills. The children looked at the painting ‘The finding of Moses’ by Orazio Gentileschi and created their own interpretations of his work. We started the unit by listening to a soundscape and drawing what we could hear and what we thought might be in the picture. The children then learned about the picture and how the artist used painting and drawing techniques to show body language.
The children then began working on their own drawing and shading techniques and produced some wonderful art!
