Map Making - May 28, 2021
Today was our final lesson in our “local area” week. Today we looked at a variety of maps and their symbols and keys. We then created our own map of Gateshead that would be useful for tourists visiting the area. We had to carefully plot the location of the key features on our map. We then added 4 new attractions that we thought would make the area more appealing. There were some interesting contributions, for example, a campsite, a racetrack, a cotton candy shop, swimming baths, a farm, an arcade, an aquarium… the list goes on.
