Go, do not be afraid and serve

Safetyworks - Apr 29, 2022

Today, the whole of Year 1 went on a visit to Safetyworks in Newcastle. We went on a big bus! We learned all about being safe. We learned all about being safe at the beach. We had a talk from the RNLI and they told us about the type of flags to look out for to show us where is safe to swim at the beach. We also learned how to cross a road safely. That we should always stop, look, listen and watch when we cross the road. A lady from the Fire Brigade told us about being safe in the sun, and how important it was to wear sunscreen and a hat on hot days. We also were told all about fire safety and if we were on fire to stop, drop and roll. Finally, we had a talk from the dog charity “Blue Cross” who told us how to behave around dogs so that we can be safe and not frightened of them.

We all agreed that we had a wonderful time!
