‘Run to Italy!’ - Sep 23, 2022

This half term, we are focusing on Fundamentals in PE and the children thoroughly enjoyed their PE lesson this week.  We discussed what our bodies have to do to in order to help us move at different speeds. For example, the children discussed that our legs move faster when we are sprinting and we use our arms more to help us, compared to a gentle jog. The children then worked in their teams to ‘Run to Italy’. The children tried super hard to sprint as fast at they could to the 25m mark and back and encouraged their teammates whilst doing so. This also tied into their mathematical skills as they had to count up in 50s to work out how far they had run! Excellent PE lesson today from Year 3, well done! You are athletes in the making.
