Handa’s Surprise – End of week nursery - Apr 23, 2021
This week we have been listening and learning about the story “Handa’s Surprise.” The story is set in Africa and it is about a girls called Handa who takes lots of fruit to her friend.
We looked at the fruit which Handa took with her. She took a pineapple, passion fruit, mango, banana, guava fruit, tangerine and an avocado. We looked closely at the fruit.
We even got to taste some of it, only if we wanted to.
In number work we completed a bar chart to see which fruit we liked the most. We could choose between strawberries, grapes and banana.
We then made some fruit kebabs using the fruit. We cut the fruit and then ate it!
