Viva Mexico! - Mar 19, 2021
This week we have started our Geography unit looking at Mexico and our enquiry question of ‘What impact does tourism have on Mexico?’ In our first lesson we focused on locating Mexico on a globe and atlas, looking at which continent it is found in and countries it borders. Moving on from this, we then explored the capital city of Mexico, Mexico Coty, also various key geographical features of the country such as the Rio Grande, Sierra Madre and Chichen Itza. Using this knowledge we created a mind map all about Mexico, it’s location and characteristics. At the end of our lesson we used Google Earth to ‘fly’ to Mexico to look at the locations we had discussed, it was interesting to see how different Mexico City looked to our local area.
