Go, do not be afraid and serve

Rosh Hashanah - Nov 17, 2020

In R.E. this week we are focusing on Judaism and the celebration of Rosh Hashanah. This festival marks the beginning of the Jewish calendar. It is a holiday and one of the most important times of the year. It takes place in September/October and lasts for ten days. On Rosh Hashanah, apples dipped in honey are eaten with a prayer that God will make the New Year good and sweet. We each were able to try this sweet treat, which we very much enjoyed, and also created a Rosh Hashanah card using symbols from the celebration.
