Designing a New Playground - Nov 5, 2021
Today, we began our first Design Technology unit of the year. We have been tasked by Mrs Lynch, to design a new, themed playground. A design criteria was also given to us which included, something which moves, something to climb and somewhere to hide. Along with this, the equipment also needs to be safe, fun and age appropriate. After looking at various images and discussing as a class playground equipment we enjoy using, we each picked a theme and created a sketch drawing of our new playground. Following this, we partnered up with a member of the class who had a similar design theme and collaborated to create a footprint of the design we will make. Other pairs on our table then suggested ways to improve our footprints to help us to take on board the ideas of others. We are looking forward to creating our new playgrounds!
