Mary Wilson

Chair of Governors & Foundation Governor

I am a pharmacist and am very interested in healthy living in order to prevent health issues in later life.  As part of my job I have to be aware of potential safeguarding issues.  I have four adult children, who all attended St. Augustine’s and two grandchildren,  the youngest of which is currently a pupil at the school.  I have been a foundation governor since July 2019 and Chair of Governors since September 2019.  As a governor the areas I am responsible for are PE and safeguarding.

Mrs Lynch

Executive Headteacher & Staff Governor

I joined St Augustine’s in September 2000 as Deputy Headteacher and have been Headteacher since September 2019.  The children, school and community have become a huge part of my life.  The Governing Body are vital to our development as a school and are a great support and challenge to me as Headteacher.  We have a wonderful group of people who volunteer their time to make key decisions that improve the quality of education for our children.

Susan Forshaw

Foundation Governor

Hello I am Susan Forshaw.  I was asked to be a foundation governor by Fr Paul and have been undertaking this role since the start of 2020.  I was delighted to be considered as a member of the governing body as I have long ties with the school – not only did my two daughters attend St Augustine‘s, both myself and my husband also attended back in the 1970s so we all went to this fantastic school.  I am very thankful still to be part of the school’s life and to be able to provide support in my position as a foundation governor.

 Rev Patrick (Paddy) Jackson

 Foundation Governor

I have been a governor since 2015 and this is my second term in   office.  I sit on the sub committee for Resources and Staffing in     addition to my role on the governing body.  I have been a parishioner of St Augustine’s all my life and I’m very proud to be able to be of service to all in our wonderful school.

My diaconal duties include assisting Father Paul in his work, in addition to supporting our partnership of parishes within the John Ingram Partnership.  I have responsibility for sacramental preparation including preparing parents who wish to have their children baptised.

Paul Moat

Foundation Governor

My daughter is a pupil at St Augustine's so I became a   governor to give back to the school and help out where I could.

I run my own financial advice business so I have extensive   experience in planning and analysing numbers which helps   when discussing various points for running a successful school. I  really enjoy the governor meetings and getting involved helping out the management team to deliver a great education to all pupils.

I initially joined the governing body in 2018 as a parent governor and I am now a foundation governor.

Paula Morales

Foundation Governor

I became a Foundation Governor in July 2019 as I am very keen to be involved in supporting the Catholic Ethos of the school.  I have three boys, two at the school and the other, a toddler.

My background is in banking, managing customer service teams although more recently I’ve moved out of management but remain in banking and Insurance.

I am very passionate about the ethos and high level of education provided by the school and believe it is a wonderful school for developing and inspiring our children.

Kevin Reynolds

Foundation Governor

I have been a governor since April 2018 and I have two children who attend St Augustine’s.

Gemma Thompson

Vice Chair

Local Authority Governor to 30 May 2021 Foundation Governor from 1 June 2021

I’m Gemma Thompson and I have been the Local Authority Governor since March 2020.  On joining the Bishop Wilkinson Academy Trust in June 2021 I became a Foundation Governor.

This is my first School Governor role, but I am a former St Augustine’s pupil so I know the school and community very well.  St Augustine’s is a fantastic school and I’m looking forward to working with everyone to ensure that the school continues to be successful.

My background is in data analysis and the skills and experience I have developed through this will help me in my role as Governor.
