Moving vehicles - Jul 19, 2021
We have had fantastic start to our final week in Year 1. After working hard all morning to finish off lots of jobs in our books, this afternoon we started our practical DT topic ‘Moving vehicles. We learned about wheels and axles and investigated what worked well for moving toy cars. Then we worked hard to make our own vehicles, exploring how different sized wheels, axles and axle holders affect how a car moves. Later in the week we will be making proper vehicles with wooden wheels and dowels. Great start 1a!
