Washington Wetlands - Jun 29, 2022
Today Year 1 visited Washington Wetlands. This morning we carried out a minibeast hunt in the forest. We found lots of minibeasts including worms, snails, woodlice, a centipede and even two toads! Afterwards we took part in a pond dipping activity, where we looked for minibeasts in the water. Again we discovered lots of these and looked at them closely under a camera. We then watched the otters and flamingos being fed and listened to a talk about these wonderful species. After lunch we explored the area, visited the bird hide, fed the ducks and geese and then played in the park. The children all behaved very well. What a great day!
