Poetry Editing - Nov 20, 2020
This week we have been creating ideas for an ode poem – a poem about something we love! Over the week we have been looking at various poetic features and the impact they have. As an ode needs to be something we are passionate about we had to think carefully about what or who it was going to be about. Using our senses we created various potential lines for our poems. Today we wrote our ideas on post it notes and explored how we can improve our poem by moving lines around and repeating lines. Working with a partner we read out our poems and discussed how they could sound more effective by moving parts of them around.
