Art Week - Oct 23, 2020
This week has been Art Week across the school and in Year 3 we’ve been looking at Pointillism, the technique of using lots of tiny dots to build up shapes and colours, made famous by the painter George Seurat. We’ve been looking at some of his artworks and discussing what we like and don’t like about them, then we’ve had a go at using the pointillism technique to create artworks of our own, and copies of some of Seurat’s pictures. We’ve used coloured pencils, pen, cut out paper and paint to build up pictures using repeated shapes.
Here we are, hard at work!
