Go, do not be afraid and serve

Year 1/2

How do different materials compare?

This week, we have been investigating how different materials compare. After learning about the terms 'absorbent' and 'waterproof', the children set up an experiment to test the hypothesis 'Hard materials cannot absorb water". We tested four different materials: brick, wood, metal and plastic. We discovered that some hard materials can absorb water! Brick and wood are both absorbent. Great work scientists!

We had a great afternoon today watching the England match. What a fantastic result! We had a few little activities for the children to complete, if they wished, during the game. An afternoon we will hopefully all remember...come on England!

Children In Need

Year 1/2 looked fantastic on Friday wearing non-uniform and Pudsey clothes as part of Children in Need.

Anti-Bullying Week

Year 1/2 children looked fantastic and unique on Wednesday wearing odd socks in support of Anti-Bullying week. We talked about being kind to one another and how we could show kindness to everyone.
